Wade Fischer, M.D., Medical Director of the Heart and Vascular Center
Dr. Fischer received his M.D. degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in 1987. After completing his general surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio he did his subspeciality training in cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery at the State Univerisity of New York Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, New York. In addition he completed a fellowship in heart and lung transplant and mechanical circulatory support at UCLA, Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Fischer is a Methodist Cardiovascular Associate, affiliated with the Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center.

Jacobo Nurko, M.D., is a specialist in Vascular Surgery
Dr. Nurko completed his residency in general surgery at The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. In addition, he finished his fellowship training in vascular surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Nurko is a Methodist Cardiovascular Associate, affiliated with the Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center.
