Hand FAQ

What causes trigger finger? I'd never heard of it until my cousin had it.

Trigger finger doesn't seem to have a definite cause, which means doctors say it is idiopathic, or of unknown cause. Trigger Finger Prognostic Indicator of Recurrence Following Corticosteroid Injection. In Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. August 2008. Vol. 90. Pp. 1665-1722.
