Common Sports Injuries & Conditions

Treating athletes and sports–related injuries and conditions requires a unique approach – utilizing non–operative and minimally invasive techniques for a rapid return to activity and the highest level of function. Arthroscopic and endoscopic procedures are used in conjunction with injection therapies and rehabilitative therapies for overall strengthening and sustained results.

The board–certified, fellowship–trained sports medicine physicians of the Methodist Center for Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine at Willowbrook specialize in fracture repair, cartilage and ligament repair and joint reconstruction, as well as nerve and other soft tissue damage. They serve as team physicians for many of Houston´s youth and professional sports teams – treating athletes and the weekend warrior alike.
