In June 2005, Dr. David Lintner was named Chief of Sports Medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital after serving in a similar capacity at Baylor College of Medicine for four years. He is the past President of the Major League Baseball Team Physicians Association and a member of the Baseball Commissioner's Medical Advisory Committee. He served as the physician for the World Baseball Classic in 2009 and continues in the capacity as the Head Team Physician for the Houston Astros as well as Team Physician for the Houston Texans. He served as the Head Team Physician for the Houston Dynamo Major League Soccer Team and is also the Head Team Physician for Lee College in addition to caring for many high schools in the Greater Houston area. Dr. Litner was recently named as one of U.S.News & World Report's "America's Top Doctors 2011."
