Payment Information

If the patient is enrolled in a managed care program that a Houston Methodist Orthopedic & Sports Medicine physician participates in, we will file your claims with the insurance carrier and bill the responsible party for any patient balance. If the patient is not enrolled in a participating managed care plan, the patient or responsible party is expected to pay for all services in full at the time of the visit.

To make a payment by phone, please contact our office at 281-494-MOST. We accept Master Card, Visa, American Express, and Discover. We recommend that patients contact their insurance carrier before their first scheduled visit to verify our physicians are in your particular network.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How may I pay?

  • We accept payment by cash, check, Master Card, VISA, American Express and Discover.

Do I need a referral?

  • If you have an HMO plan with which we are contracted, you need a referral authorization from your primary care physician. If we have not received an authorization prior to your arrival at the office, we have a telephone available for you to call your primary care physician to obtain it. If you are unable to obtain the referral at that time, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment until the correct authorization can be obtained.
